THE REAL MEANING OF INTELLIGENCE


WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE?
Intelligence is a term given to describe the ACTIVITY of the BRAIN or MIND. It is your mental (brain or mind) power to acquire or perceive something. This, therefore, simply means that anyone who has brain within their skull is intelligent, if we must use the term intelligent. In simple term, intelligence is a process of acquiring knowledge or information from any source of knowledge.

For instance, if you are reading a book or you are studying your environment and your brain or mind is acquiring information in the book or in the environment, that interaction between your brain and the book or environment is called INTELLIGENCE.

Intelligence means the power or ability of the brain or mind to perceive (or to sense, to acquire, to discern, to notice, etc.) something; something which is then called 'knowledge'. Once you have brain, even a 'small quantity' of it, and it's still working (that is, you are still alive) you are intelligent. Though people are categorized into three (3) different groups based on how fast their brain perceive; that is called INTELLIGENT QUOTIENT.

WHAT IS INTELLIGENT QUOTIENT?
Intelligent Quotient is a speed at which one's brain perceives. It deals with the pace at which knowledge or information is coming into your brain from the sources of knowledge. It is also the speed at which the knowledge or information you have acquired in the past is coming into your mind or brain. The people who are receiving knowledge into their brain at a very fast speed are often said to be 'intelligent' when people ought to say they are 'knowledgeable'. And the term 'intelligent' is also used to refer to people who often challenge ordinary and common and widely accepted facts and knowledge; they beat status quo by their newly acquired knowledge.

The three categories of people according to their Intelligent Quotient are:

Uncoordinated Brain People
Slow Intelligent People
High Intelligent People

First of all, the average speed of brain is said to be 100%; that is, the rate at which the brain of all normal human beings perceive is 100%.

Now, I decided to use the term 'Uncoordinated Brain People' here to refer to those people who are often referred to as 'Imbecile' or 'Moron' because they cannot "coordinate" themselves as normal human beings. And I believe the reason for such a condition is an improper connection somewhere in their brain which further prevents the brain from perceiving, acquiring, discerning, sensing, etc something; something called knowledge. I believe that it is knowledge that coordinates and regulates human activities of any kind.

So, the brain of the people in such category as Uncoordinated Brain People works below 100%. Nevertheless, this does not mean they are not intelligent because intelligence is just an activity of the brain, and this people still have brain. So, instead of saying they are not intelligent, we ought to say they are not knowledgeable – their brains work, but they cannot receive knowledge.

The second category of people in relation to their Intelligent Quotient is 'Slow Intelligent People', and this is the category majority of people in the world are. It is a category of average with brain speed measured at 100%. People here are normal human beings. Their brains work and perceive, but often not beyond what is already known. Their knowledge is based on a known and common knowledge. They depend on other people’s knowledge (through books, listening to speeches and talks of other people) to be knowledgeable. These people are intelligent because their brains work and they are averagely knowledgeable.

The third category of people according to their Intelligent Quotient is the group of people many often refer to as Intelligent when they mean to say knowledgeable, and these are people in High Intelligent category. These people have everything as normal human beings, but more knowledgeable than the people in other categories. Their abundant knowledge creates in the mind of other people something 'special' about them. They often know what average people do not know. These people are pioneers and initiators of 'new' knowledge in the society; because of this, they are often called 'Original Thinkers'. They often challenge existing situations of things, common and widely accepted rules and regulations of a system or process. Many of this caliber of people are usually called inventors, discoverers, innovators, originators, etc. These are the people who create changes in the society, they are world changers, they are mountains movers, they exhume the long hidden glories of the world and establish new ways of thinking for other people; all because of their abundant knowledge. The brain speed of those in this category is measured to start at 110% and above.

(If you must make great impacts around you and in the world, that is the category – high intelligent group – you must aim to be; that is where the people listed in the beginning of this chapter operate).

There are people of this group whose brain speed is measured at 170 to 190%. This kind of people are often termed 'Extraordinary'; and most times they don't live long because they don't normally live normal human life, but the little time they will spend can change the whole world forever. They are extra highly knowledgeable people.

The normal rate I think shouldn't be more than 150 to 160%. By this speed rate, I believe one can be highly knowledgeable and still live normal human lifestyle.

ARE THESE CATEGORIES CLOSED AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO ENTER ANOTHER GROUP?
The answer is first No, the categories are not closed. And secondly, it is Yes, you can move from one group to another one. Except Uncoordinated Brain group which nobody can ever make an effective effort to enter; if not through accident that may affect the brain coordination. None of the categories is closed.

One of the wrong orientations most people have concerning being knowledgeable is that it is given only to some people by God. They believe people in higher category are naturally created in there and therefore others can't know as much as they know; but this is never true – one can move from one category to another, especially between Slow and High.

Note that I intentionally use the word SLOW instead of LOW as it is commonly used to qualify the people in second category; my reason for this is that the speed of intelligence can be increased beyond average, particularly if the right accelerator is pressed.

Intelligence is like a vehicle which can sometimes go at Slow speed and some other times go at High speed. Therefore, there are INTELLIGENT QUOTIENT ACCELERATORS.
